About Me

Judy Perkins is a collaborative Human Resources and Wellness Consultant who guides leaders of organizations on “all things HR” — from hiring to firing and everything in-between. Her expertise as a thought partner and advisor to entrepreneurial leaders and Boards of Directors has created lasting and significant successful results. Judy is uniquely qualified to guide organizations in Human Resources and workplace wellness initiatives.

Most recently, Judy was the Director of Human Resources for over seven years at Ojo Spa Resorts (Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs Resort & Spa; Ojo Santa Fe). For thirteen years before that, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at a large community bank in Massachusetts. Judy’s background also includes starting her own human resources consulting practice where, for over a decade, she advised over 130 for-profit and not-for-profit organizations in New England. Earlier in her career, Judy was the Director of Career Services at a business college in Massachusetts.

In 2017, Judy earned the prestigious Human Resources Professional of the Year Award from the Society for Human Resources Management-New Mexico (SHRM-NM). She also earned the YMCA Cape Cod Board of Directors Leadership Award in 2010.

Judy has an MBA from Clark University and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. She is certified by the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) as an “anti-discrimination trainer”. Judy is also a Master Primal Health Coach; a Certified Primal Health Coach, and a Holistic Health Coach. She has been a practitioner and teacher of Thought Field Therapy (TFT), also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), fondly called “Tapping”, for over two decades.

Judy is a former columnist for the Business Journals of Cape Cod and Worcester, MA, in addition to being the author of three American Management Association books and courses.

  • A Managers Guide to Human Behavior (5 th Ed) 3 CEU’s.
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (1992) 2 CEU’s.

Empowering people to thrive is one of Judy’s missions. She also decided to add corporate wellness and individual health coaching to her ensemble of services.

Manager for a County Department

Judy is a gem! She mentored me in the HR Manager function. She would introduce me to an HR concept, both at the macro and micro level. Her tireless dedication to excellence in the Human Resources profession is admirable. Few could match it.  If Judy says she is going to do something, you can count on it. It will be done and it will be done well. Her energy is seemingly inexhaustible and contagious. I must remind myself to pack extra vitamins and protein bars when she spends a day with us!
